Trails of Fury, held on May 25, 2013, brought the summer heat and was the last Dirty Double event of 2013.

With the summer heat rolling in and the mostly full-exposure of the Las Vegas high desert, the Daylight races had an added element of difficulty staying cool and hydrated. The 10K and 30K were able to use the Techno trail, a very fun trail cutting through the middle of Badger Pass — and also a trail that most likely won't be used again in future events due to BLM restrictions.

The morning races shaped up with David Cooper winning the 10K and Matthew Kneeland won the Half Marathon in convincing fashion. In the Daylight 30K, Peter Banks jumped out to a convincing lead and held it the entire race, with Rich Frank nipping on his heels before taking a wrong turn and accidentally running a full marathon. At the Moonlight races Marc Bai flew through the 5K course with Keena DeLay in second, while Steve Christopher set a 10K course record and Eric Swenson wrapped up the Moonlight Half Marathon with a finish time of more than 30 minutes ahead of the next finisher.
