Blood, Sweat & BeersBootleg Canyon on February 28, 2015

Race ScheduleBlood, Sweat & Beers

We're kicking off 2015 with lots of fun, lots of beer, and lots of great trails! Come out for the first of our Dirty Double series for the year on some of the best trails Las Vegas has to offer in Bootleg Canyon.

Be there on February 28, 2015 for our Daylight and Moonlight “Dirty Double” races and earn a custom pilsner glass by completing a morning and night race both. If you're up to the challenge, take on the double marathons of Blood, Sweat & Beers, or grab a couple friends and take on “The Trailogy”.

Race Distances

We'll be offering the option to run the Daylight races starting at 9:00am, the Moonlight races starting at 5:00pm (Marathon) or 6:00pm (5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and 30K), or the Dirty Double, where you get to enjoy both races! All race distances are available for both the Daylight and Moonlight races.

If you choose to register for the Dirty Double, you can change the distances you're running on race day, but we'll ask which distances you plan on running when you register.

5K Course

3.2 miles, 525 ft of vertical climb

A steady climb uphill on the mildly-technical Girl Scout trail before reaching the Caldera Lot Aid Station and returning on the moderately technical, but very fast, East Leg trail, followed by the dirt road for approximately 1/2 mile to the finish.

10K Course

6.3 miles, 750 ft of vertical climb

Start by running downhill along the beautiful, windy Lower Lake View trail (which lives up to its name) before heading up the River Mountain Trail and the infamous switchbacks, followed by taking Boy Scout back to the Caldera Lot Aid Station and West Leg — the only moderately-technical trail of this course — to the finish.

Half Marathon Course

13.5 miles, 1590 ft of vertical climb

Head up the mildly-technical Girl Scout to start, before reaching the Caldera Lot Aid Station and heading onto Caldera, a fast trail with stunning views of Las Vegas. Turn off of Caldera onto Ernie's Epic, a section of moderately-technical rolling hills before heading back towards the finish line on Mother, a fun trail that winds in and out of the small ravines of Bootleg Canyon. With a small detour down P.O.W. to the Veterans Rock Aid Station, rewarded by a steady uphill march back to Mother before flying into a fast finish.

30K Course

19.4 miles, 2450 ft of vertical climb

The 30K starts with the half marathon course, heading up the mildly-technical Girl Scout before reaching the Caldera Lot Aid Station and heading onto Caldera, a fast trail with stunning views of Las Vegas. Turn off of Caldera onto Ernie's Epic, a section of moderately-technical rolling hills before heading back towards the finish line on Mother, a fun trail that winds in and out of the small ravines of Bootleg Canyon. With a small detour down P.O.W. to the Veterans Rock Aid Station, rewarded by a steady uphill march back to Mother and past the start/finish area before being greeted with downhill trail along the beautiful, windy Lower Lake View trail (which lives up to its name) before heading up the River Mountain Trail and the infamous switchbacks, followed by taking Boy Scout back to the Caldera Lot Aid Station and West Leg — a moderately-technical trail — to the finish.

Marathon Course

27.2 miles, 3100 ft of vertical climb

Our marathon course starts by running downhill along the beautiful, windy Lower Lake View trail (which lives up to its name) before heading up the River Mountain Trail and the infamous switchbacks, followed by a jaunt on the technical Skyline to the Caldera Lot Aid Station. Head out on Caldera East and return on Inner Caldera to the Aid Station, then head out on the climb of Caldera West and link up with Ernie's Epic, a section of moderately-technical rolling hills before heading back on Mother, a fun trail that winds in and out of the small ravins of Bootleg Canyon. With a small detour down P.O.W. to the Rocks Aid Station, rewarded by a steady uphill march back to Mother and past the start/finish area before again hitting the Lower Lake View trail, River Mountain Trail, and the switchbacks. Head down Boy Scout this time to the Caldera Lot Aid Station, and race down the moderately-technical West Leg, taking the connector up and over the hill to Mother, down to I.M.B.A, and back to the start/finish line on Mother.

Dirty Double

Conquer the Dirty Double by completing a both a Daylight and Moonlight race of any distance for twice the fun! Upon finishing the Daylight race you will be awarded the official race finisher medal, and upon completion of the Moonlight race you will receive the a signature Dirty Double pilsner glass adorned with the race's logo.

The Trailogy

Why conquer the race alone when you can do it with friends? New for 2015, grab two friends and create a team and do “The Trailogy”: a 3-person relay consisting of the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K run sequentially. The first teammate will begin the Half Marathon when the race starts at 9:00am. Upon finishing the Half Marathon, the next teammate will run the 10K with the final teammate running the 5K to finish things up.

In addition to receiving the official Blood, Sweat & Beers finisher medal, each teammate will also receive a special medal for completing The Trailogy. There will also be awards for the teams completing the three legs the fastest.
